Gondii Syndrome, 2014

Gondii Syndrome (2014, Kirtimai Culture House, Vilnius) – was an experimental performance piece in collaboration with audiovisual poetry and electronic music band AVASPO (LT) and director Saule Norkute. As a performer I was searching for a physically and emotionally ‘neutral’* body of the Lover - an indefinable personage shifting within the limits of stereotypical gender clichés, abstracted and subverted movement, human and object-like presence.

*Can neutrality be a potent state of expression? What is a neutral body?Through practical and philosophical investigations into concept of the neutral [as 'an ardent, burning activity' (Barthes) and conclusion-less 'inevitability' (Iwana)] I was searching for a state within which physically and emotionally neutral body can contain abstraction as well as recognisable cliches without alluding to personality or emotion.

Beneath Butterflies, 2015

'Beneath Butterflies' (Buddhist Center, London, 2015) – was a stage performance based on R. Firbank’s novella 'The Flower Beneath the Foot' (1923). As a performer, I was particularly interested in exploring the physical - textural quality of the voice, vocal and physical exploration of the text as a springboard for sonic interpretation of language, meaning, and meaninglessness, and creating an ambiguous character of Laura de Nazianzi

Love Clock, 2016

Commission for InTransit Festival

Dancing and singing with time and each other - LoveClock. A durational street performance, play and a party.
Vocal, instrumental, physical, mad, fun and ironic - it was a treat for London’s grey skies, pavements and their walkers.
