The Disc Of Light, 2014
Drawing the inspiration from butoh, mythology, movement of stars and constellations, 'The Disc of Light' was a dance performance co-devised with Mildred Rambaud and Katsura Isobe.
Dancing with large, circular steel discs, dulled and lunar on one side - polished and solar on the other, the dancers explored the relationship between the body and the object, the ambiguity between moving and being moved by the object, as well as the risk triggered by such body/object connection in relation to other dancers, light and darkness, stillness and speed.
